We made a bet on the NBA playoffs and now my boyfriend refuses to do the punishment.
By @violetee · Relationships
He lost, fair and square. The punishment was that he had to wear a full hot dog costume on our weekly grocery run. they says it's too humiliating, but a bet's a bet.
The full story
Okay so this is dumb, but I'm a competitive person. My bf and I are huge basketball fans, but root for rival teams. We made a bet for the playoffs, series winner gets to pick a punishment. I won. My choice? He has to come with me for our big weekend grocery shop wearing a hot dog costume I found online for $40. He laughed at first, but now that the costume arrived he's fully backing out. He's saying it's 'publicly humiliating' and 'too much.' I think he's just being a massive sore loser. It's a grocery store, who cares? It's a 30 minute trip. I'd do it if I lost. Am I taking this too far or is he just trying to get out of it?

What people are saying
@brynnkinda — A man's word is his bond, and that includes stupid bets.
@ahhfine — I have to wonder what the punishment would have been if he had won.
@wesagain — he has to do it this is the funniest thing ive ever heard
@kit — Soft.
@stillthinking — Oh I'd be holding this over his head forever. Every time his team lost again I'd ask if he wants to double down on the hot dog costume.
