My girlfriend and I have been having the same dumb argument for weeks about which of us is messier. I'm a visual learner and a problem solver, so I decided to present the evidence in a format she couldn't ignore.

Okay, so this started as a joke... mostly. We kept going back and forth about who leaves more dishes in the sink, who forgets to take out the recycling, who leaves clothes on The Chair. It was getting nowhere. So last night, I said 'okay, we're settling this.' I spent about two hours putting together a presentation titled 'The State of the Apartment: A Data-Driven Analysis of Domestic Chaos.' I'm talking charts, graphs, photographic evidence. I had a slide with a pie chart breaking down 'Floor Clutter by Category' (70% her shoes, 30% my miscellaneous stuff). I had a bar graph showing 'Days Left on Countertop' for our respective coffee mugs. I even included time-lapse photos of her pile of a place nearby boxes. I thought it was hilarious and, frankly, very compelling. She did not. She just stared at me. Then she got up, went into the bedroom, and shut the door. Didn't say a word. I followed and tried to explain it was supposed to be funny, but she said I was being a 'smug, condescending jerk' and that I 'turned our relationship into a business meeting.' I thought I was just being thorough and making a funny, grand gesture to end a stupid fight. Now she's not talking to me and I'm sleeping on the couch. Was this really that bad? I even used a fun font.
