My girlfriend waits for the last, coldest slice of pizza on purpose.
By @liamok · Food
She claims the pizza is better after it's been sitting in the box for an hour. I think it's a bizarre and disgusting ritual.
The full story
It's become a whole elaborate performance. We'll order pizza, everyone grabs a hot slice, and she just waits. Patiently. Like a predator watching its prey. Then, once everyone's finished and there's one lonely, lukewarm slice left congealing in its own grease, she finally makes her move. Her justification? The flavors have had time to 'marinate' and 'settle' in the box. I'm sorry, what? Settle into what, cardboard flavor? I say it's gross, but she's adamant that she's unlocked some next-level pizza-eating hack that the rest of us are too foolish to understand. I now have to watch this sad spectacle every pizza night.
