My girlfriend keeps adding stuff to the grocery list after I'm already at the store.

By @vincesorta · Relationships

Every single time I go shopping, I ask her if she needs anything, she says no, and then the texts start rolling in when I'm in the checkout line. It's not a huge deal, but it happens every time and it's starting to get on my nerves.

The full story

I do the grocery shopping on Sundays. Before I leave, I hold up the list and ask my girlfriend if there's anything else she wants me to grab. The answer is always 'Nope, I think that's everything.' So I go. Then, like clockwork, I'll be halfway through the store and my phone will buzz. 'Ooh can you get that coffee creamer I like?' An hour later, I'm literally putting stuff on the belt and it buzzes again. 'Forgot we need paper towels.' Sometimes she'll send a third or fourth text for one or two little things while I'm waiting in a long line. Last weekend I was already paying when she texted asking for avocados. I just ignored it. I got home and she was annoyed that I didn't get them. I told her she needs to tell me *before* I go, not send me on a scavenger hunt while I'm there. She thinks I'm being a jerk over something small and that it's not a big deal for me to just run back to an aisle. It's the principle of it for me. I made a plan, I asked her, and she's changing it last minute every single week. It's just disrespectful of my time.
