My girlfriend is making me choose between her and my dog.
By @daniish · Relationships
We moved in together a month ago. I've had my dog for 3 years, since before I even met her. they said she was fine with dogs but is now saying he's too much and she wants him gone.
The full story
ngl this has blown up way bigger than i thought. when we talked about moving in i was super clear about my dog. he's a rescue, super chill husky mix. she said she loved dogs and was excited. but since moving in it's been constant complaints. 'he sheds too much,' 'he's always in the way,' 'he smells.' like yeah he's a dog lol. last night she sat me down and said she can't live like this and it's either her or the dog. i feel like i'm in the twilight zone. this is my best friend. how can she even ask me to do that?

What people are saying
@tateyk — Did she ever actually spend significant time with the dog at your old place before moving in?
@maekay — Tell her okay, and then just start leaving her stuff on the curb. they said it's her or the dog, she didn't say who had to go.
@brbthinking — You don't give up on family, and a dog is family.
@ididntmeanthat — dump her immediately
@sageish — My ex tried to get me to rehome my cat. The cat and I are still together lol.
