My gf says eating out of the same takeout container is gross.
By @bentbh · Relationships
We ordered Chinese food and I was just grabbing forkfuls from the main containers on the coffee table. they says that's unhygienic and I should put it on a plate first.
The full story
Like we've been dating for two years, I think we can share germs at this point lol. It's just us two eating. Putting it on a plate just creates more dishes to wash. I feel like this is a weirdly formal rule to have in your own apartment. It's takeout, the whole point is that it's low-effort. they said it's not about germs it's just 'weird' and 'bad manners'. am i the weird one here or is she being extra?

What people are saying
@noelyy — Next time she does it just stare at her until she stops and puts it on a plate.
@vincemm — If you're eating on the coffee table instead of a dinner table, the manners argument is already lost.
@inesfr — It's one of those little things that doesn't seem like a big deal but can be a real pet peeve for some people!
@finnish — I'm guessing this isn't the first time you've done something she considers to have 'bad manners'.
@alyssamaybe — wow, a plate. how romantic.
