My boyfriend started doing something small that has completely changed our mornings.

He knows I have decision fatigue, especially right when I wake up. So now he just brings me a coffee, exactly how I like it, without any questions.
The full story
It’s honestly not about the coffee itself, but about the removal of a small cognitive load first thing in the morning. I was finding my days were starting with a minor stressor, and this one simple action from him completely removes it. It’s an efficient and kind gesture that has a disproportionately positive impact on my entire day. It makes me think about what other small, practical gestures are actually the most important ones in a long-term relationship.
