My boyfriend and I can't agree on a trade for our shared fantasy baseball team.

We co-manage a team and he wants to accept a trade that I think is terrible. We both have to approve it, so we're at a stalemate and the offer is about to expire.
The full story
My boyfriend and I decided to do a fantasy baseball league together this year. We split the buy-in and manage one team as co-managers. For the most part, it's been a fun way to connect, but now we've hit a major disagreement. We received a trade offer yesterday: we give up our most reliable starting pitcher and a very consistent high-average outfielder. In return, we'd get one elite-tier hitter who has been on an absolute tear for the last three weeks, but who is notoriously injury-prone and just came off the injured list last month. My boyfriend's position is that we need to take a big swing to climb into a playoff spot. He thinks this one player could carry us there. My position is that it's a classic panic move. We'd be giving up two core, healthy players for a guy who could be back on the IL tomorrow. Our pitching is the only thing keeping us afloat, and gutting it for a high-risk, high-reward batter feels like a season-ending mistake. Since we're co-managers, we both have to approve the deal. The offer has been sitting there for over a day and the other manager is getting annoyed. Who is right here?

What people are saying
@whoops — Scared money don't make none.
@weslol — The relationship is at a stalemate too
@sammydoes — His impulsivity around this is a bigger red flag than the player's injury history.
@umaee — This is exactly why you don't share a team. It's supposed to be for fun! I'm on your side, championships are built on consistency, not moonshots.
@judeforsure — lmaooo
