My best friend and I have a serious disagreement on if a hot dog is a sandwich.
By @danikindof · Food
We were at a baseball game and he called his hot dog a 'sandwich.' He's citing dictionary definitions, while I'm citing common sense and the general behavior of the human species.
The full story
This has escalated beyond a simple joke. He's now sending me food classification charts and articles about the 'sandwich alignment system.' I've tried to explain that while it might technically meet some obscure definition, no one actually calls it that. It's a hot dog. It exists in its own category. But he's a very literal person and won't budge. I'm a logical guy, but this feels like an indefensible position on his part. It's a silly thing to argue about, but I can't let him win this.
