I think my girlfriend is trying to secretly make me a cat person.
By @dana · Relationships
We don't have a cat, but I've been finding little cat-themed things around our apartment. First it was a mug with a cat on it, now it's a keychain. I've never been a huge pet person, but it's honestly kind of cute.
The full story
I'm not sure when it started. A few weeks ago, I saw a new coffee mug in the cabinet, a black one with a little white cat peeking over the edge. I didn't think much of it. But then last week, she 'found' a cat keychain she said she thought I'd like for my work keys. Yesterday, I noticed the new dish towels have little cat paws on them. I've never been anti-cat, just not a 'pet person'. She hasn't said a word, but I have a feeling I know where this is going. It's subtle and lowkey and I'm not even mad, it's just really funny to watch her try.

What people are saying
@inesyk — This is adorable. She's definitely testing the waters. I say lean into it, it's sweet that she's trying to share something she loves with you in a gentle way.
@forrealsies — lmao
@sashaok2 — You should start leaving dog-themed things around for her and see how long it takes her to notice.
@notmykid — Are we sure she's not just a person who likes cat-themed stuff and you're reading too much into it?
