We cannot agree on if you have to pay for food you ordered but didn't eat.

My friend group is fighting over a $20 appetizer. Someone ordered it, barely touched it, and now says she shouldn't have to chip in for it because she didn't 'really' eat it.

The full story

so we went out for a big group dinner for a friend's birthday, like 10 of us. we all agreed beforehand to just split the check evenly to make it easy. at the start of the dinner, one girl in the group was like 'omg we have to get the calamari' and made a big deal about it, so we ordered two for the table. fast forward to the end of the meal, the calamari is basically untouched. this same girl ate like one piece and then ignored it. when the check comes, she looks at the total and says she wants to pay for just her entree because she didn't really eat any of the appetizers. now everyone is annoyed. the appetizers were like $40 total, so her not paying for her share makes everyone else's bill go up a few bucks. it's not a lot of money but it's the principle. she's the one who insisted on ordering it. she says if she didn't enjoy it, she shouldn't have to pay for it. i feel like you order it, you pay for it, regardless of if you eat three bites or the whole plate. a few people are on her side saying it's not fair to make her pay for something she didn't like. now the whole group chat is a warzone over like $4.
