The quietest 'thank you' I ever got came from a random online gaming teammate.

we were playing a co-op game and this one person was clearly new and struggling. instead of getting mad like everyone else, i just quietly helped them out, dropped them better gear, and revived them without saying anything.

The full story

so basically i was playing this online game, just a random pickup group. it was immediately obvious one player was a total noob. they kept dying, getting lost, just generally messing things up. the other two players started getting audibly tilted, calling them out. i just muted them and started helping the new player. dropped them my good weapon, pinged objectives for them, revived them instantly every time they went down. we ended up finishing the mission and right before they logged off they sent a private message that just said "thanks for being nice." made my whole week tbh.
