The most embarrassing thing just happened on my Hinge date.
By @gusagain · Dating
My date and I were having a great time until the waiter brought the check and addressed me as 'ma'am' and him as 'your son.' My date is four years OLDER than me.
The full story
I am writing this from the bathroom of the restaurant because I am too mortified to go back to the table. I'm on a first date with a guy from Hinge. He's 31, I'm 27. It was going SO well. We were laughing, the conversation was great, definite second date vibes. And then the waiter came over to drop off the check. He looks at my date, then looks at me, smiles, and says, 'And here you are, ma'am. Is your son taking care of this tonight?' I have never wanted to evaporate more in my entire life.
