We went to a nice restaurant that I picked. My friend brought her new boyfriend, who proceeded to order the most expensive steak and two pricey cocktails. When the check came, she loudly said 'Let's just split it evenly to make it easy!'.

So for my birthday, all I wanted was a nice, kinda fancy dinner with my five closest friends. There’s this one friend who has been seeing a new guy for like a month, and she asked if he could come. I said sure. Big mistake. The whole night, this guy is ordering top-shelf everything. Everyone else is being pretty normal, but he gets the wagyu, multiple old-fashioneds, appetizers for himself. The bill comes, and it's huge. Before I can even say anything, his girlfriend (my friend!) grabs it and says 'omg let's all just split it, way easier.' The table went silent. The difference was like $60 more per person. I didn't want to cause a scene on my own birthday, so I just paid it.
