The guy across the street is testing me.

He has a two-car garage and a three-car driveway. He parks his giant pickup truck directly in front of my house every single day.

The full story

I live on a normal street. Everybody has their own driveway. The guy across from me, he has a huge driveway and a clean garage. Never uses them. Instead, he parks his lifted F-250 right on the curb in front of my living room window. Now, it’s a public street. I get it. There are no laws being broken. But there’s an unspoken rule, right? You park in front of your own house. There’s 100 feet of open curb in front of his place. But he chooses mine. It blocks the sun in my front garden. It leaks some kind of fluid onto the asphalt. It makes it hard for me or any guest I have to find a spot. I can't even get packages delivered to my porch sometimes because the truck is in the way. I tried asking him about it once. A few months ago. I was polite. 'Hey, any chance you could use one of the spots in front of your place? It gets a little tight over here.' He just stared at me, grunted, and said, 'It's a free country.' Last week, he parked so close to my driveway I had to do a five-point turn just to get my car out. Yesterday, a landscaper I hired had to park two houses down and haul all his equipment. It’s a power move. It has to be. Nobody is that clueless. He's just seeing what he can get away with. I'm about an inch from calling a tow company and just claiming it's abandoned, I don't even care anymore.
