Streaming services completely ruined the album experience.

The art of listening to an album from front to back is dead. Now everyone just cherry-picks one or two viral hits for a playlist and moves on.

The full story

I'm talking about the death of the album as an art form. You used to buy a CD, pop it in, and listen to the whole thing on your Discman on the way to school. You'd read the liner notes, learn the weird deep cuts, and appreciate the whole project. Now? My girlfriend will hear one song on TikTok, add it to her 'vibes' playlist, and never even know the name of the album it came from. Artists spend years crafting a full-length story with a beginning, middle, and end, and streaming platforms encourage you to treat it like a singles buffet. It's a tragedy.
