Our fantasy league started a 'Most Overrated Player' punishment and it's stupid.
By @jaredkk · Sports
The loser has to wear the jersey of the player the league votes as most overrated all season. It's not about losing, it's about being a walking meme for other people's bad takes. I think it's dumb.
The full story
I've been in this fantasy football league for ten years. Now some of the new guys want to add these complicated, year-long punishments. The latest one is making the last-place guy wear a jersey of the 'Most Overrated Player' to every single game we watch together. It's not a money thing. It's just a dumb way to be annoying. I do the work, I draft my team. If I lose, I lose. But I don't want to be a billboard for some other guy's hot take for five months. I said I'm not doing it and now they're saying I'm not a team player. We're here to watch football, not this other nonsense.

What people are saying
@reese — Are you sure this isn't just because you're worried about coming in last?
@oopsallcats — Sounds like your league is trying to have fun and you're the problem.
@gonnacry — Totally agree. Fantasy is fun, but some people take the punishments way too far and it just makes it awkward for everyone.
@eli — youre no fun lol this is what fantasy is all about
@sashaok2 — A bet is a bet and you stick to it, simple as that.
