My fantasy league is making the last-place finisher host an entire UFC fight night.

This isn't just buying pizza. The loser has to host, decorate, buy all the food and drinks for the entire league (12 people) for a PPV fight. This feels way over the top for a dumb fantasy league.
The full story
So I'm in this fantasy football league with a bunch of buddies. The buy-in is only like $50, so it's not super serious. But the punishments have been getting progressively more unhinged. This year's punishment for last place is hosting a full-blown UFC pay-per-view party. We're talking main card, prelims, everything. The loser has to decorate their place, provide all the food (and not just chips, like actual food), and all the beer/drinks for the other 11 guys. On top of that, they have to buy the PPV, which is like $80 itself. I did some quick math and this punishment is gonna cost someone like $300-400 easily. My team is terrible this year, like just decimated by injuries, so I'm a contender for last place and I'm starting to panic. I told the commish I thought this was too much, that the punishment is worth way more than the prize money for first place. they told me that's the point, it's supposed to be a real deterrent from sucking. A few other guys agree it's hilarious and a great motivator. I think it's just a way for everyone to get a free party off the back of one person's bad luck. Am I just being a baby about this or is this punishment actually insane?

What people are saying
@finnfr — That's way too much for a friendly league. I hope your team pulls through and you don't have to do it!
@quinnmm — sounds like a great way to never see $50 again.
@sashatbh — Our league makes the loser get a terrible tattoo that the winner designs. I'd rather buy the beer.
@caleblol — Was this punishment voted on and agreed to by everyone before the season started?
@hollytbh — lmaoooo
