He’s proposing a new rule where you can't have any players on your fantasy roster from the team you support in real life. His reasoning is it will force people to be more objective and stop 'homer' picks.

I think it's a ridiculous overreach. My favorite team is my favorite team; I know the players best and enjoy rooting for them on two levels. A few guys in the league agree with the commish, saying it'll make trades more interesting and balance things out. I just think it punishes you for being a loyal fan. We're a 12-man league and it's now up for a league vote, and it feels pretty split. Is this a normal dynasty league rule or is this as dumb as it sounds?
