We started it as a joke for our library sessions, like a dollar for every 5 minutes you're late. Now my friend is trying to actually enforce it and wants me to Venmo her $7 from last week.

so we have this study group for a hard class and getting everyone to show up on time is impossible. one of my friends jokingly suggested a late fee, and we all laughed and agreed. but now she's actually keeping a spreadsheet of who owes what. i was 15 mins late to one session and 20 to another because i had to talk to a professor, and she sent me a venmo request for $7. i thought it was a bit but she's serious. ngl it feels kinda weird to charge your friends to study together, even if it's just a few bucks. am i crazy or is this ridiculous?
