My roommate thinks using my leftover takeout as an ingredient is not stealing.

By @benmm · Food

I ordered way too much chinese food last night and now my roommate is using the leftover rice to make his own fried rice. they says because he's 'transforming' it, it's not the same as just eating my food.

The full story

so i got a bunch of chinese food yesterday. i wake up today and my roommate is in the kitchen using my leftover white rice to make his own lunch. i was like dude what are you doing and he said he's making fried rice. i told him that was my lunch and he was like 'nah it's not stealing, it's creative reuse'. he said since he's adding his own eggs and soy sauce and whatever it's a new meal. i'm just standing there like, but you're using my food as the base?? he thinks i'm overreacting bc it's just rice. but it's the principle of the thing.
