I told my roommate they could have some of my snacks, and they ate all of them in one night.

i bought a big bag of chips and some cookies and told my roommate they were communal. i meant they could have some, not the whole thing. i woke up this morning and it was all gone. i just went grocery shopping again and this time im keeping my snacks in my room. they saw my new stash and made a comment about me being selfish. i dont think im wrong for this but now it's awkward at home. are you really supposed to share until its all gone? petty or nah?
