My in-laws have started just showing up at our house without calling first.

They say they 'just want to see the kids' and don't want to be a bother, but it always happens right at dinner time or during naptime. My husband thinks it's sweet and that I'm overreacting.

The full story

I love that my kids' grandparents want to be involved, I really do. But for the last month, they've just been appearing on our doorstep. They live 15 minutes away, so it's easy for them to just pop over. The problem is it's always at the worst times. Last week, they rang the bell right as I was putting the toddler down for his nap, which of course woke him up. The time before that, it was as I was putting dinner on the table (and then I have to scramble to make sure there's enough food). My husband says they're just excited and I should be happy they're so hands-on, but I just want a text! Is it really that hard to ask for a heads-up?
