We were watching 'A Goofy Movie' and now the group chat is in a full-blown war over whether it counts as a musical. It's tearing our friend group apart in the funniest way possible.

ok so we were just trying to have a chill movie night and now the gc is going off. my roommate says if a movie has big, iconic song-and-dance numbers (hello, Powerline), it's a musical. case closed. but my other friend is like, 'no, the characters have to be singing about their feelings FOR the plot to move forward.' i'm ngl i just liked watching it and didn't think it was this deep. now they're bringing shrek into the argument as a reference point and i think i'm losing my mind. please help settle this.
