My friend's new girlfriend is auditing our group Splitwise and I think it might tear our friend group apart.

We have a years-long group tab where we all just throw our expenses and settle up later, vibes are very chill. His new gf joined and is itemizing things down to the cent and leaving comments on other people's spending. It's so awkward.

ok so we have this friend group, we've known each other since college. for years we've had a running Splitwise group for everything. dinners, trips, concert tickets. it's very chill, based on trust. we round up, nobody bills for driving, we throw a 20 in for 'drinks' and nobody questions the breakdown. it just works. then my buddy starts dating a new girl. we'll call her the auditor. we invited her on our big annual cabin trip a few weeks ago, her first real group hang. it was fine, i guess? a little quiet. but then came the Splitwise reckoning. i open the app monday morning and it's a warzone. she's uploaded like, fifteen individual expenses. things like '$2.17 - half a bag of shared pretzels'. '$8.50 - gas for 15-mile round trip to the lake (calculations in notes)'. she even uploaded a charge for '$0.89 - single serving of oat milk for my personal coffee'. but it gets worse. she started commenting on OUR charges. my other friend had put in $150 for the main grocery run. the auditor left a public comment like '@friend's_name i noticed the receipt includes beef jerky and a six-pack of cider which i did not consume, pls advise'. she even replied to my entry for 'firewood - $30' with 'was this from a sustainable source?'. like girl what. my friend, her bf, is completely silent. he hasn't approved or commented on anything. the rest of us are just screenshooting everything and sending it to our *other* group chat without them. the vibes are fully spiraling. at what point does someone have to intervene? this feels like a friendship-ending event over an alleged $4.75 worth of beef jerky.
