Is it a red flag if a guy just starts eating food off your plate on the first date?
By @lanetbh · Dating
I went out with this guy from one of my psych classes and he just reached over and started eating my fries without asking. My roommate thinks it's a green flag that he felt comfortable but I'm kinda grossed out.
The full story
ok so i (20f) finally went on a date with this guy i've been talking to in one of my tutorials. we went to this pretty casual burger place, everything was going fine, convo was good, vibes were normal. i ordered a side of fries with my meal. we're talking and he's telling a story and just reaches over, grabs one of my fries, and eats it. just like that. didn't ask, didn't pause, nothing. then he did it again a minute later. i was literally so surprised i didn't even say anything in the moment. i just kinda stared at him. he didn't even notice. ngl it totally changed the vibe for me. it's not about the cost of the fries, it's the principle. like we're on a FIRST date, you don't know me, and you're just assuming that's okay? it feels like a total lack of boundaries and basic manners. when i told my roommate she said i was being dramatic. she was like 'omg that's cute, it means he felt super comfortable with you right away!' she thinks it's a green flag and i'm overthinking it. i feel like it's a huge red flag that shows he's presumptuous. idk if i even want a second date now. am i crazy for being this weirded out?
