Instant Replay has completely ruined watching sports.

By @benlately · Sports

Back in the day, you'd watch a game, the ref would make a call, and you'd all yell about it and then the game moved on. Now it's this endless stopping and starting for every little thing, breaking up the flow of the game just to be 100% right.

The full story

I was watching a game with my kids and I swear we spent more time watching refs in a booth than the actual game. A great play happens, everyone celebrates, and then... wait, let's look at it from 15 angles for five minutes. It just drains all the excitement out of the moment. I get that they want to get the calls right, especially for big games, but it feels like we've lost the human element of sports. It's not as fun to watch a game that's constantly being paused for a review that might not even change the call.
