I tried to be the 'cool dad' at the neighborhood pool and it backfired immediately.

We were having a small get-together for my son's friends to celebrate the start of summer. I thought it would be hilarious to kick things off with a huge cannonball.
The full story
The kids were all on the side of the pool, and a couple of other parents were there, sitting in lounge chairs. I get a running start, yell "CANNONBALL!", and launch myself. The splash was epic. The kids went wild. Unfortunately, I also completely drenched the one mom who had her phone, a book, and a whole snack spread laid out. She gave me the most withering look. I've just been waving awkwardly from my car for the past week.
