I think my roommates and I accidentally started a pigeon cult.

We nursed one injured pigeon back to health in our dorm. Now it won't leave and it brought like 20 of its friends who just stare into our apartment window all day.

this is so dumb but idk what to do. a few weeks ago my roommates and i found a pigeon with a messed up wing on the sidewalk outside our building. we felt bad for it so we scooped it into a shoebox and brought it up to our room. we named him jeremy. we gave him water and some bread and bits of trail mix we had. for a couple days he was our little secret patient. very cute. he got better really fast. but when we tried to set him free on the windowsill... he just. didn't leave. he just hopped around and then settled on the fire escape. okay, weird, but whatever. he's our buddy now i guess. but THEN. he started bringing friends. at first it was just one other pigeon. jeremy and his plus-one. then it was four pigeons. then ten. we went away for one weekend and came back to what i can only describe as a legion. there are at least 20 of them now and they just sit on the fire escape and the window ledges of our living room. they don't even do anything. they just... watch us. all day. they stare while we watch tv. they stare while we eat. i swear jeremy is in the middle of them like their leader. it was funny for like a day and now it's genuinely unnerving. it feels ominous. like we're being judged. we tried shooing them away and they just fly in a circle and land right back. our RA just sent a text to our floor group chat about 'an unusual amount of bird activity' on our side of the building and im freaking out. we have created an army. what do we do with our pigeon army?
