I held the door open for someone at a coffee shop, but they were a little too far away. They had to do that awkward little jog to get to the door.

I was leaving a coffee shop and saw someone heading for the same door from the outside. My brain did the quick calculation. They were probably just on the edge of the 'too far to hold the door' zone. But I decided to be nice and held it open anyway. They saw me, their eyes got a little wide, and they did the classic hurry-up-walk-that's-almost-a-jog. they said 'thanks' when they got to me, but it felt strained. Now I can't stop thinking about it. Should I have just let the door close? I feel like my attempt at courtesy just put pressure on a stranger. Am I wrong for making it weird?
