I started a petition to get my friend's terrible car towed.

His car has been parked on our street for a month and it's a legit eyesore. It's a 20-year-old beater that hasn't run in weeks and it's bringing down the whole vibe of the block. I made a joke petition about it and now half the neighborhood has signed it.

so my friend lives down the street and his car broke down like a month ago. instead of getting it fixed or towed, he just left it on the street in front of some other houses. it's this ancient honda civic with one of the doors a different color, a cracked windshield, and a bumper held on with what looks like duct tape. it's objectively hideous. i see it every day and it just started to get to me. it's making our normally decent street look like a junkyard. i complained to him a few times and he was just like 'lol yeah i'll get to it' but never did. so as a joke, i made an actual online petition on like a legit petition site called 'Petition to Remove the Abandoned Honda from Elm Street' and sent it to a few of my neighbors in our group chat. i thought it was funny. but then they started actually signing it. and sharing it. now there are like 40 signatures and people are leaving comments like 'finally someone did something!' and 'total nuisance'. my friend saw the petition and is now super mad at me, says i'm humiliating him publicly. but like...dude...your car is the problem. i didn't think it would get this serious, but now i feel like i have to see it through.
