Every time my friend 'forgets' her wallet she promises to Venmo me and never does.
By @hollyhm · Friends
Last night we went out for drinks and she conveniently left her purse in her other bag. I covered her, again, and this morning there's radio silence on the app.
The full story
My one friend has a chronic case of wallet amnesia. Last night it was 'oops I left my purse in my work tote!' so I covered her $40 bar tab. I'm obviously never seeing that money. It's always some excuse - her card gets mysteriously declined, she only has a big bill, whatever. It's not about the money, it's the principle. Don't offer to get the next round if you know you have no intention of paying. Now we're planning a weekend trip and she's all 'you book the house and we'll all pay you back!' Yeah, right.
