A harmless joke about replacing my boyfriend's stuff with miniature versions has turned into a full-scale tiny-things war.
By @gabekay · Social
It started when I replaced his favorite coffee mug with a dollhouse-sized one. Now I can't find my work boots and instead there's a pair of baby booties, and I'm probably going to be late.
The full story
Okay, so it was funny at first. My boyfriend is one of those guys who is very particular about his things. His mug, his special gaming chair, his side of the bed. I thought it'd be hilarious to just start replacing his stuff with tiny versions I found online. The coffee mug was the first shot. He just stared at this little espresso-sized mug where his giant one should have been. He didn't say a word. The next day, his tube of toothpaste was one of those little travel-sized ones. Then his bar of soap was a tiny hotel soap. I was dying laughing. He was just quiet. Too quiet. I should've known something was up. This morning, I go to grab my work boots and there's a pair of baby booties in their place. I need my actual steel-toed boots for my job. I go to get my car keys, and there's a key for a Barbie car on the hook. He's hidden all my real stuff and will only say "look for the normal-sized things." I'm running late for work and he's just sitting on the couch drinking coffee from his (now returned) mug, smiling. This has gotten out of hand, right? I feel like he's taking it way too far now.
