A girl on our Disney trip ruined the Haunted Mansion and I think I hate her now.

We went with my boyfriend’s friend and his new girlfriend. She pulled her phone flashlight out mid-ride to 'see the ghosts better' and shattered the entire illusion. Now I’m the villain for saying something.
The full story
My boyfriend (31M) and I (29F) are huge Disney parks fans. Not just casual fans, we're talking watch-all-the-documentaries, know-the-lore, plan-our-snack-crawl-months-in-advance fans. For our anniversary, we planned a huge trip and my boyfriend’s best friend and his new girlfriend decided to tag along. We’d never met her before. The first day was… fine. She was clearly not a parks person. Lots of complaining about the heat, the walking, the price of a water bottle. Whatever, we were trying to be accommodating. But the second night, it happened. The breaking point. We had a coveted lightning lane for the Haunted Mansion right as the sun was setting. It's my favorite ride. The vibe was perfect. We get into the Doom Buggies, our car linked with theirs. It was her first time on it. The Ghost Host starts his spiel, the buggy turns, and we enter the library. Then, just as Madame Leota is about to make her appearance – the best part with all the floating instruments – a harsh, white light cuts through the darkness. It was her. She had her phone's flashlight on, waving it around. "I can’t see anything, I just wanna see how they do it," she said, loud enough for the whole Stretching Room to hear probably. I was mortified. The magic, GONE. A kid in the buggy behind us literally said, "mommy, the ghosts are gone." I saw red. When we got off, I pulled her aside and tried to be polite but firm. "Hey, just so you know for the other rides, using a flashlight is a huge no-no. It ruins the effects for everyone and can mess up the sensors." She just stared at me. Then she laughed. "You’re joking, right? It’s a kid’s ride." Her boyfriend came over and told me I was being intense and to leave her alone. My boyfriend tried to mediate, but the damage was done. The rest of the trip was unbearably awkward and now they're telling my boyfriend I was a 'gatekeeping psycho' and ruined THEIR vacation. I just... I can't.

What people are saying
@sashaok — This reminds me of when a friend came with to see a new Marvel movie and kept asking who the bad guy was during the opening credits.
@plottwistlol — bruh
@lanetbh — Her laughing in your face is the only red flag you need to see here.
@piahm — She sounds like a national treasure.
@daniwelp — I feel like being a 'huge Disney fan' is doing a lot of heavy lifting for why the boyfriend's friend called you intense.
