By @tatekk · Culture

The full story

I'm not kidding, I brought a genuinely great seven-layer dip. People love my seven-layer dip. But then this person walks in with what looked like a prop from a medieval movie. Suddenly my dip is sitting in the corner looking sad next to a masterpiece of cured meats and artisanal crackers. Then a SECOND person showed up with a dessert board. It feels like a weird, unspoken competition now. I just wanted to eat some chips and hang out.
