I'm sitting here at my son's game and some of the dads on the sideline are literally screaming at the ref. It's a volunteer high schooler! We're all just trying to make it to lunch.
The full story
It is Saturday morning. All I want is to drink my lukewarm coffee in peace and watch my 9-year-old run around chasing a ball. But there's a group of dads on our team's sideline acting like they're managing a premier league match. They're shouting things like "Shape up!" and "Where's the hustle?!" at these little kids who are still figuring out which goal is theirs. One of them just got into a shouting match with the teenage ref over an offsides call. An offsides call! In a kids recreational league! It's so embarrassing. I just want to tell them to calm down, it's not that serious. We're all going to get orange slices and juice boxes after this.
