Sitting on gym equipment and scrolling on your phone should be a bannable offense.

It's the ultimate main character energy. If your 'rest period' between sets is long enough to watch three TikToks and reply to your DMs, you're not resting, you're just being a public nuisance.

The full story

Hot take but I'm not sorry. There is nothing that makes my blood boil faster than someone camping out on a piece of equipment, phone in hand, completely oblivious to the world. I was at the gym today and this one guy was on the *only* squat rack for what felt like an entire presidential term. He would do a single set of half-hearted reps, then sit down for a solid 5-10 minutes, literally just scrolling through his phone, smiling at whatever meme he was looking at. A whole line of people was forming, giving him the death stare, and he was just in his own little world. This isn't your living room. It's a shared space with a limited number of resources. Your need to catch up on Instagram is not more important than the 10 other people waiting to actually work out. If you need that much rest, fine, but get up and walk around. Let someone else work in. It's basic gym etiquette and it's insane how many people don't have it.
