My wife's father passed away a few years ago. My dad has always treated her like his own daughter, so she asked him to walk her down the aisle at our wedding. He was incredibly honored, but now she's changed her mind and wants to walk alone.

She feels like having my dad do it would be a betrayal to her own father's memory, which I understand. But my dad has already told our whole family, bought a new suit, and is so excited. He's a sensitive guy and this would absolutely crush him. they says I'm his son, so I have to be the one to break the news to him. I feel like it's her decision, so she should be the one to tell him, but she's refusing. I'm stuck between my future wife and my dad.
