My wife spent $3,000 from our emergency fund on VIP concert tickets.

they said it was a 'once in a lifetime' experience and we 'deserve' nice things. I'm looking at our kid's new braces bill and starting to panic. Now she's mad at me for 'killing her joy'.

The full story

I'm honestly still in shock. I checked our joint savings account this morning and saw a $3,000 charge. My wife bought VIP packages for her and her best friend to go see her favorite band—the whole front-row, meet-and-greet experience. That account is our emergency fund. It's for a hospital visit or if the car breaks down, not for concerts. Her argument is that she's been a fan for 20 years and this might be their last tour. I'm just thinking about the estimate for our daughter's orthodontics that's sitting on my desk. Am I crazy for thinking this is a massive problem?
