My wife asked the server to move a solo diner to a worse table.
By @gabefr · Social
We were at a packed restaurant for date night and the only spot was a small two-top next to the kitchen door. My wife saw a guy sitting alone at a four-person booth and asked the hostess if he could be moved so we could have it. It got weird.
The full story
The hostess was young and looked stunned. She went and asked the guy. He obviously wasn't happy about it but he moved to the small table. My wife said 'see, you just have to ask' and acted like it was no big deal. I felt like a jerk the whole time, we were sitting in this huge booth while he was crammed by the door. I ended up paying for his meal without telling my wife, I just felt bad about it. She'd be mad if she knew.
