My roommate thinks eating my leftovers isn't stealing.

By @owenhm · Petty or Nah

they says if it's in the shared fridge it's basically communal property. I'm not running a charity kitchen and I'm tired of my dinner disappearing.

The full story

okay so i live with this guy, we're friends but the fridge situation is getting dire. i'll buy food for myself for the week, cook it, and put the leftovers in a container WITH MY NAME ON IT. the next day it's just... gone. i confronted him and he was genuinely confused why i was mad. his logic is that the fridge is a shared space, so everything in it is up for grabs unless it's like, in a personal mini-fridge in my room. he says i do the same thing with his milk for my coffee (i use a splash, he eats my entire meal). i'm a broke college student, i can't afford to be his personal chef. am i overreacting?
