My roommate keeps 'borrowing' my milk for his cereal and I'm losing my mind.
By @codykindof · Petty or Nah
they says it's just a splash and not a big deal, but it adds up. I told him he needs to buy his own or venmo me but he just laughs it off.
The full story
i live with two other guys, and for the most part it's fine. but one of my roommates, we'll call him steve, has this habit of using my stuff. specifically my milk. like every morning, he makes a bowl of cereal and will just grab my carton from the fridge and pour some in. it's never the whole bowl's worth, but it's enough that i notice. i'll buy a new half-gallon on monday and by wednesday it's half-empty when i know for a fact i've only had one bowl of cereal myself. i've asked him multiple times to just buy his own milk if he's going to eat cereal every day. his excuse is always that he 'forgets' at the store and that i'm 'overreacting' because it's just a little bit. i told him okay, fine, then just venmo me a dollar every time you use it. he thought that was the funniest thing he'd ever heard and told me i was being petty. am i? it's my milk! just buy your own!
