My roommate keeps track of whose turn it is to buy toilet paper on a spreadsheet.

He literally has a shared a place nearby Sheet for our apartment for stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. If you use the last of something, you have to mark it down and it's your turn to buy the next one.

so my roommate is super intense about splitting costs evenly. he made a spreadsheet for all shared household items. if you finish a roll of toilet paper, you put a check next to your name. whoever has the least checks at the end of the month has to do the next costco run. it feels so extra and kinda weird, like we're running a business not sharing a space. i told him it was weird and we should just alternate but he said this way is 'provably fair'. am i wrong for thinking this is too much?
