My kids think our a place nearby Alexa is their personal DJ and it's driving me insane.
By @tateagain · Family
Every morning is a battle over what Alexa plays. They want loud pop music, I just want five minutes of quiet to drink my coffee before school drop-off. I've started unplugging it before I go to bed.
The full story
I know it sounds petty, but the first sound I hear when I come downstairs at 6 AM shouldn't be some super loud TikTok song. I have two kids (7 and 10) and they've figured out they can just shout at Alexa from their rooms to start playing music before anyone else is even awake. It's become this power struggle. My husband thinks it's funny and that I should just let them have their fun, but it's my house too! I feel like I'm losing my mind before the day has even started. Am I wrong for just wanting to put it in a closet until they're older?
