My husband insists on telling me the 'right' way to load the dishwasher.
By @nicoliterally · Family
Every time I do it, he comes in behind me and 'fixes' it. He claims it's about maximizing space and water flow. I think he's just being controlling.
The full story
My husband is a great guy, but his obsession with the dishwasher is driving me insane. He has a 'system'—bowls on the top rack angled down, plates on the bottom sorted by size, silverware meticulously placed so spoons don't 'nest.' If I load it any other way, he will literally unload it and do it over. Last night, I thought I did a pretty good job, and he came in, sighed, and started rearranging everything. I'm at the point where I don't even want to bother loading it anymore. He's not mean about it, but the implication that I'm incapable of a simple chore is starting to get to me.

@daniy — Have you tried just letting him be the one to load it from now on?
@remy — start hiding one dirty dish in the back after he reorganizes it
@violetmm — My wife does this with the laundry. I'm not allowed to touch the washer OR the dryer. It's her kingdom.
@wesish — soft.
@quinnok — If he wants it done a certain way, then that's his chore from now on.
