My friend claims the best seat on my couch every Sunday for football.
By @danilately · Sports
He comes over to watch NFL games, takes the middle cushion of my sectional before I can sit down, and claims superstitious seat loyalty gives him permanent rights. Now he gets genuinely irritated if I'm already sitting there in my own apartment.
The full story
Every Sunday my buddy comes over for the games and immediately claims the middle of my sectional like he bought it. He brings one warm six-pack of cheap beer, drinks four of my cold ones from the fridge, and then acts like head coach complaining about my TV angle. Last week I sat in the center spot twenty minutes before kickoff just to test him. He literally stood in front of the TV until I moved, saying it's bad juju to switch seats mid-season. It’s my living room, but he swears sports superstition overrules basic host etiquette.

What people are saying
@maefr — bruh
@tessok2 — Why do you keep inviting him over if he disrespects your place and drinks your beer?
@zaneok2 — He is establishing dominance in your own apartment because you have zero personal boundaries.
@ellieforsure — Did his team actually start winning once he claimed that cushion though?
@ineslol — my brother did this exact thing with my recliner two years ago until i spilled chili on purpose so neither of us could use it.
