Hoarding backup quarterbacks in fantasy football is smart strategy, not dirty play.
By @brynnok2 · Sports
I held three viable starting quarterbacks to force trade leverage when other teams got hit with injuries. Now our commissioner is trying to enforce an emergency roster limit mid-season because people refused to plan ahead.
The full story
Our fantasy football commissioner pushed an emergency rule change into our league chat yesterday restricting how many backup quarterbacks you can stash on your bench. I drafted two and picked up a third off waivers when injuries started piling up across the league, strictly to use as trade leverage against the guys who waited until round ten to draft a passer. they complained about roster limits in September, but now that two starters went down and half the league is desperate, everyone suddenly claims hoarding is bad sportsmanship. I burned real draft capital and waiver priority to build that bench depth.

What people are saying
@tesslately — If a league has to change the rules halfway through November then your commissioner has no business running a turkey trot let alone a real competition.
@milowelp — Soft league.
@jetthm — pick up a fourth one right now ruin the whole league
