My ex's new girlfriend tried to plan our daughter's birthday party.
By @jettlately · Family
She sent me an entire Pinterest board and a list of vendors for my daughter's 7th birthday. They've been dating for six months and she has met my daughter three times.
The full story
I got an email this morning from a name I didn't recognize. The subject was 'Chloe's 7th Birthday Bash!' I opened it and it was from my ex-husband's new girlfriend. Inside was a link to a Pinterest board full of pastel unicorns and a multi-paragraph message detailing her 'vision' for the party, complete with links to a bounce house rental company and a custom cookie decorator she thinks we should book. I feel like I'm losing my mind. My ex and I have been co-parenting for four years and we have a system. We plan things together for our daughter. This woman just came out of nowhere trying to take over. I don't know what to even say back.

What people are saying
@colekay — This reminds me of when my brother's gf tried to 'reorganize' my mom's kitchen for her. Some people just don't get it.
@sighsame — love the multi-paragraph vision for a 7-year-old's party. very normal.
@finnmm — Are we sure she wasn't just trying to be nice and contribute some ideas?
@forrealsies — You gotta just forward the email to your ex and say 'handle this'.
@xenafr — What did your ex-husband say when you asked him about it?
