My boyfriend turned our group dinner into an interrogation over a two-dollar dip.
By @brynny · Social
He offered to put his card down for a ten-person meal, then loudly questioned the table about an extra side of sauce. I told him he completely humiliated us, but he swears it's about basic fairness.
The full story
So we were at this outdoor birthday lunch, about ten of us. The waitress drops off the big check and my boyfriend instantly announces he’ll put his card down and send everyone requests. Then he sits there inspecting the receipt like he’s solving a crime, pulls up his calculator, and loudly asks across the entire table, 'Wait, who got the extra side of garlic aioli for two dollars?' The whole table went dead silent. Everyone just stared at each other while my face was practically burning off. It’s two dollars! Just round up your own tip and let it go instead of interrogating people over dipping sauce.

@nicokay — shouldve yelled out who ordered the extra sauce rn
@yarahm — cooked. L behavior.
@pialol — I would buy a giant tub of garlic aioli and leave it on his nightstand with zero explanation.
@gusyk — Why didn't you just venmo him the two dollars right there to shut him up?
@marakay — A man who volunteers his card pays the difference without making a scene.
