My best friend asked me to dye my hair for her wedding.

I'm the maid of honor, and my bright blue hair apparently 'clashes with the aesthetic' of her rustic, beige-and-champagne color scheme. they told me I'd do it if I truly cared about her and her professional photos.

The full story

My best friend and I have known each other since we were kids. I've had bright blue hair for about five years. She was literally with me, holding my hand, the first time I ever bleached it to do this. She loved it. She's the one who told me to go for it. Now she's getting married, and she's become a completely different person. Everything is about the 'vibe' and the 'visuals' for her wedding photographer. A few days ago she sat me down and, with a completely straight face, told me we needed to 'figure out a strategy' for my hair. I thought she was joking. She was not. they said my hair is 'too aggressive' for her 'soft, romantic' theme and that it will stand out in a bad way in the photos. She suggested I dye it back to my natural brown color just for the wedding and I can 'always dye it back later.' When I looked at her like she had three heads, she got emotional and said that her wedding pictures are forever and my hair is 'just a phase.' The worst part is she ended with, 'If you value our friendship, you'll think about what's really important.' Is this a fair ask? Or has my best friend officially been replaced by a bridezilla?
